Earlier this spring I had the opportunity to take part in an Alumni Committee meeting. At the meeting, the question was asked, "What should we do for our next social?"
A few ideas were circulated... 'maybe lawnbowling' or 'golf,' what about a 'pub night' or 'ski trip,' and then, from almost out of nowhere came a suggestion that was unanimously supported and immediately actioned... 'let's volunteer together.'
The idea came to life last week when our Alumni came together at Samaritan's Purse here in Calgary to give back their time to support those in our community who need the help.
I couldn't be prouder of the values our former students continue to live.
