Canadian Accredited Independent Schools (CAIS) is a network of the top 100 independent schools in Canada. As members of CAIS we benefit from incredible networking, learning and shared resources. We see our students go to leadership conferences and compete in sporting events, we see our teachers receive leadership training and unparalleled professional development, and as a school we benefit from an exceptional accreditation process.
On the topic of accreditation, each CAIS school undergoes the process once every seven years. This evaluation allows us to insure that we are up to standard on policies, programs and governance (among many other topics).
Recently, the Globe and Mail had an entire section dedicated to private education in Canada.
Later this month, our board chair and myself will be travelling to the Annual Chairs and Heads Conference. I look forward to sharing the learnings from the conference on this blog and perhaps even via podcast. Stay tuned!
