For over a decade now, under the direction of our Primary Music Teacher, Mrs. O'Brien, Rundle has been participating in Music Monday. This event brings together students and teachers from around the world to sing a song together, no matter where they are in the world.
Typically, this event would look a little different than it will this year. Each and every year before, we would come together at one of our schools and the event would be an expose of student and teacher talent. There were group and individual songs performed and plenty of singing and clapping along.
This year, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Music Monday has shifted to a front porch sing along! To prepare for the event, Ms. O'Brien and her team have created a practice video.
On Monday, May 4th at 11AM MST, I look forward to hearing our kids sing from their porches as we continue to celebrate the power of music and connection.
