Together: The YYC Cycle Spin Studio Story

Earlier this week, when I introduced the theme of 'failure,' I referred to an event where speakers shared their failures (on the path to success).  One of the speakers was Andrew Obrecht.  Andrew spoke about his path to an incredibly popular business and movement, YYC Spin.

What struck me about Andrew's story was an idea of 'trust and relationships.'  Andrew spoke openly about being burned by potential partners early on and losing almost everything as result.  While his narrative unfolded, I could see how easily it would be to fall into a 'trust trap' when looking to start a new initiative and make your dreams become a reality.

Probably just as stunning as the devastation Andrew must have felt when his trust was broken, was his ability to bounce back and create a trusting relationship with his employees and his spinning followers.  It is easy to see why people want to work so hard alongside him - it is simply a deep and enduring sense of trust.

(beyond all this greatness - Andrew did share about following your curiosity and finding your purpose - also powerful messages for us all to reflect on!)
