This past weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the Rundle College JHS production of Charlie Brown's Christmas. It was remarkable! Amazing acting, a pit band playing the original score, superb stage, light and sound work and incredible direction.
The production taught us so many lessons of the season; gratitude, perspective, friendship and understanding.
However, when I look back on the performance, it is about the Christmas spirit, but, really, it is about so much more. This is a group of nearly 100 staff and students coming together to create something much bigger than the sum of its parts. It is students, working with each other and their teachers to celebrate the arts! I love that 100% of our students pursue a co-curricular (arts, academics, athletics and character)! These pursuits help them realize what it means to be part of a true learning community.
