Yesterday, as a part of our 'Ascent Leadership' program, we had the great honour to have Mr. Chris Chan in to speak to our Rundle College students. I was incredibly impressed by the depth of his knowledge in the area of leadership and his willingness to give back.
Although the conversation ebbed and flowed across many topics and insights, one thing really stuck with me. Mr. Chan said to the students:
"I really learned to be president of my company when I was first hired and was making pancakes, peeling carrots and washing dishes."
It is this dedication to servant leadership that really inspires me and our students at Rundle.
I'd like to thank Mr. Chan and our students for the transformative experience and for the important reminders about relationships, hard work, connections, communication and organizational culture.
