Be Curious: "How do people get new ideas?"

Recently in the MIT Technology Review, a short essay by Isaac Asimov.  

His essay does an impressive job of articulating the importance of (1) working together (2) developing expertise and (3) finding safety in our thinking - all in the pursuit of innovation and creativity.  His thoughts, even though they were first penned in 1959, are nearly perfectly mirrored by David Epstein in his new book, "Range: Why Generalists Triumph in a Specialized World."

If we are to best prepare our students for an everchanging world, it is imperative that we look to history and the wise words of Isaac Asimov and to what the current research is telling us.
