Be Curious: The Daily Climb Recipe? 10% Original, 10% Ask, 30% Observation & 50% Referral

The other day I was speaking with our Assistant Headmaster, Mr. Gary Sylven, about 'The Daily Climb' and he had a really interesting insight and perspective about the first ~20 posts of this year.  (interestingly enough, this makes up about 10% of my goal, so it is probably a good time to reflect on how things are going)

What Mr. Sylven pointed out was interesting... after a quick review of the topics, he estimated that the posts generally follow these ratios:

50%
of the posts are making reference or directing readers to a resource

30%
are observations from our schools and events

10%
are asking the readers to think about something or respond

10%
are original thoughts and content

Generally, I think he is right in his observations.  He then challenged me to consider shifting the ratio to 25% Resources, 25% Observations, 25% Reflection and 25% Original Content.

I like the way he thinks and will endeavour to bring this blog to that place over the course of the next few months!

While we are on stats, here are a couple others.

- The Daily Climb is averaging 75 reads a day
- There are currently over 1500 clicks on the webpage
- Although 90% of readers come from Canada, we have viewers from over 10 additional countries

Thank you to all who are following along and your feedback and insight is always welcome!

Finally, if you enjoy the blog - please pass it along to others who may also enjoy it.
