Last week, we had the opportunity to reconnect with several Rundle College and Academy Alumni at the University of Victoria. We had a great night, and here are just a few of the lessons we took away:
- Finding your 'fit' at university is so important. Each of these students spoke with passion about why UVic was the perfect fit for them. After visiting several Universities and chatting with dozens of alumni, I can say with confidence - not every university is a fit for every student!
- Diversity of thought is one of Rundle's great advantages. Among the alumni who joined us, there were no two students who were specializing in the same thing. There were graphic designers, engineering students, practicing nutritionists, sociologists and computer programmers. However, there was one thing they all had in common was their love of Rundle!
- Community is everything! The event was scheduled from 5:30-7:30... every student arrived at exactly 5:30 and the whole group stayed until well after 8:30.... amazing! We had a heartwarming evening of catching up, sharing stories and talking about the future of Rundle!
